The President's Cup is the second most prestigious team golf tournament in the world after the Ryder Cup. The Ryder Cup is played between America and Europe only.

Players from outside of Europe have only the President's Cup in which to play a team event against the best players from the USA. As such to be selected for the President's Cup is considered a real honour.
