QLD AND SA SHEFFIELD SHIELD SIGNED BAT

Queensland won the Sheffield Shield in 1995 in the final against South Australia to complete what was called the longest unfulfilled sporting challenge in Australian sporting history. There was huge relief and jubilation when the final match finished on 28 March 1995. Whilst this bat does not represent every player from the final the signatures that appear would be welcomed back by both teams today.

On the Queensland side the bat is signed by Alan Border, Matthew Hayden, Stuart Law, Martin Love, Andy Bichel, Michael Kasprowitz, Carl Rackermann, present Qld Coach Trevor Barsby, and then coach and later Australian coach John Buchanan.

South Australia players that signed the bat include Darren Lehmann, Greg Blewitt, Jason Gillespie, and Tim May.
