Robbie Williams

Robert Peter Williams (born 13 February 1974) is a Grammy Award-nominated, 15-time BRIT Award-winning English singer-songwriter. His career started as a member of the pop band Take That in 1990. He left Take That in 1995 to begin his solo career, after selling 25 million records with the group.

Since then, Robbie Williams has sold more albums in UK than any other British solo artist in history. He has sold 2 million records worldwide. His album sales stand at over 53 million, with singles sales over 17 million.

Williams entered in the The Guinness Book of World Records when he announced his World Tour for 2001, selling 50 000 000 tickets in one single day. He has been the recipient of many awards, including fifteen BRIT and six ECHO awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame, after being voted as the Greatest artist of the 1990s.
